Also digitizing the value chain to sustainably contribute to improving livelihoods. In addition, managing one of the largest maize farms in Ghana.

About Farmer’s Financing Division:
Farmer's Financing Business Division at Degas empowers smallholder farmers by providing agri-inputs and training programs for free. Smallholder farmers make repayments through the delivery of portions of their outputs (e.g., maize and soybeans) and Degas consolidates the outputs and sells them to major off-takers.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Serve as the lead of the Business Development Department of the Company helping to drive marketing and sales with agreed targets.

  • Create strategic business development plans for identified opportunities in line with the corporate strategic plan.

  • Conduct market research and acquire market intelligence to identify new opportunities with relevant stakeholders in the areas of manufacturing and trading industries.

  • Plan feasibility plans of projects and align with multifunctional team and lead to implement them.

  • Develop and execute sustainable customer retention strategies and ensure highly effective and efficient customer service delivery at all times.

  • Forge strategic partnerships with associations and organizations working (both directly and indirectly) with smallholder farmers to scale up agreed corporate targets.

  • Acquire strategic suppliers with input providers that would help in decreasing the costs of inputs and operations.

Preferred Skill

  • A minimum of 5~7 years working experience as Business Development Manager /Executive

  • Share a startup company mindset, self-starter and very comfortable with getting things up and running from scratch.

  • Business knowledge and intelligence, and results-driven
