Now we are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director who would lead the Japan Alliance for High Quality Carbon Credit (JAHQCC) and carbon project finance in Japan. .

JAHQCC is a business development platform conceived by Degas to incubate project investment opportunities and build carbon market literacy for Japanese corporations.

Scope:

  • Develop content and business development strategies that deliver value to members and expand the JAHQCC network.. This may include, but is not limited to;

    • Planning and hosting networking events,

    • Creating and editing monthly reports,

    • Planning and executing webinars inviting industry-leading partners,

    • Preparation of appointment materials, presentations; and,

    • Developing and closing membership contracts.

  • Develop a CRM system and data analytics that support KPI setting and marketing decisions.

  • Manage a junior team of interns and associates.

  • Manage, develop and grow a strong pipeline of active investment opportunities for Degas’ carbon projects.

  • Work closely with the Degas senior leadership team to supplement contract development, structure investments, and close negotiations.

Target experience and competencies:

  • 10+ years of work experience in international business development and B2B sales.
  • 5+ years of work experience in carbon credit and sustainability related project developments.
  • Ideally, experienced in the development of carbon projects.
  • Must be comfortable with agile and lean project management methodologies and working styles.
  • Native in Japanese, Proficient in English
